Privacy and terms

The short version: we only keep what you send us, we don't sell it to anyone and we don't track you around the internet. The longer version is below, in normal words.

What we collect

When you fill in the project form or the contact form, we get what you type: your name, your email address and your message. If you're a client, we also keep the details of your project and the updates we post on your status page. We don't collect anything else in the background.

What we use it for

To reply to you and to work on your project. We won't add you to a mailing list and we won't use your details for anything else unless we agree on that with you first.

Where it's stored

Form messages and status pages are stored in our database, which runs on Supabase. The website itself is hosted on Vercel. Both only store and serve the data for us, they don't use it for their own purposes. The QR code on a status page is made by the free service qrserver.com, which receives the link to that page in order to draw the code.

Who we share it with

Nobody else. We don't sell, rent or hand out your details.

How long we keep it

For as long as we're working together, and a while after that in case questions come up about what we agreed. Want something deleted sooner? Email hello@minioky.com and we'll take care of it.

Your rights

You can always ask what we have about you, ask us to fix it or ask us to delete it. Send an email to the address above and you'll hear back from us within a reasonable time.

Cookies

We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. Your browser stores one small note that remembers whether you closed the cookie message, and the settings you picked in it. The fonts and images on this site come from our own server. The only outside file is the Supabase script from jsDelivr, which the forms need to send your message.

How a project starts

Every project starts with a sketch, as described on how we work. The sketch is free and doesn't commit either of us to anything. You only get a price, and only owe us something, once we've agreed on a sketch together.

Price and payment

Prices are per project, based on the sketch, and you get them before any building starts. How and when you pay (for example a deposit, or in parts) is agreed in writing for each project.

Ownership

Once a project is fully paid, the finished product is yours: the design, the code written for it and the content we made for it. General tools and bits of code that we reuse across projects stay ours, so we can keep using them.

Maintenance

Maintenance includes up to five small changes a month, like fixes, text or photo changes and small tweaks to what's already there. Bigger requests, like a new feature or a redesign of a section, get their own sketch and price and don't count toward the five.

Liability

We do our best to build things that work and keep working. Still, we can't promise a product will never have a single issue, or that it will suit every future use. We're not liable for indirect losses, like missed revenue, that come from using what we built.

Stopping

Either of us can end a maintenance agreement by letting the other know in writing, a reasonable time in advance. If a project is stopped halfway through building, you pay for the work done up to that point.

Changes to this page

If we change this page in a way that matters, we'll tell our existing clients directly instead of quietly editing it.

This page describes how we actually work, in plain language. It wasn't drafted by a lawyer. If you need something more formal for your own situation, we're happy to work from your template.
